Buying Privately:
This should always be cheaper than buying from a dealer
but can carry certain risks. Always make sure to check for
the service history and if the warranty is still valid.
You have fewer legal rights if you buy privately.
Make sure the motorcycle / quad is as described. Always
inspect the motorcycle and make sure its exactly what you
looking for. Always have a look at the engin and frame of
the motorcycle / quad for wear and tear as these parts will
always reflect the condition of it. Make sure that the engin
and frame number is valid and make sure that its legal.
Buying from a Dealer:
This is the safest way of buying but not the cheapest.
Here you get maximum protection from the law. Its a good
idea to choose your local dealer which is approved by major
finance houses and which is fully registered and legal to
trade with a spesific brand or make. A trade assosiation
sign may mean that the firm follows a code of practise.
When buying a motorcycle / quad from a dealer it must be
of satisfactory quality. It must always meet the standard
that a person would regard as acceptable. Make sure to buy
only from registered motorcycle dealers and beware of "grey
imports" as parts, service and warranty will be a major
problem when need be.
